Lead Developer, Java, Worcestershire, to £32K + Excellent Bens
Successful financial software house is seeking a Lead Developer to design and develop eCommerce based solutions.

Responsibilities
• Lead and implement the design and build of Platform and Product software for the an eCommerce solution.
• Act in the role of coach and mentor providing technical support and advice to other members of the development team.
• Work with the eCommerce Business Analysts, regarding implementation of
• requirements and/or resolution of live operational issues.
• Contribute to the solution of key, complex problems including performance and scalability issues.
• Work with the eCommerce QA function to deliver robust, error-free solutions
• Other tasks as directed by the eCommerce Manager / eCommerce Team Leader
Experience
• Java, Netbeans, ASP.Net
• HTML, JavaScript, Dreamweaver 8 (or MX), CSS/CSS2
• Knowledge of Web Services or COM
• Experience of designing and developing eCommerce applications at an advanced level (essential)
• Experience of working with Agile delivery methodologies advantageous
• Linux, Windows 2000, XP and Vista architectural knowledge
• Financial Services industry knowledge.
• Educated to degree level in a computer related subject (desirable)
• Microsoft, Sun or CIW Certification an advantage
Skills
• Be able to take a leading role in the development of eCommerce solutions and associated tools.
• Be able to convert requirements specified at either a business or technical level into successful implementation, through analysis / design skills.
• Planning of tasks to achieve deadlines.
• Ability to pro-actively recognise, manage and escalate risks and issues which may affect delivery
• Attend and Lead Customer Pre Sales presentations and Development meetings
• Provide pro-active input into enhancing both the efficiency and quality of delivery by
• improving process and tools in use by the team
